The Best Livermore Bike Trails
The Arroyo Mocho Trail
The Arroyo Mocho Trail is part of a network of trails in Livermore that connect to Pleasanton. It is green-way which runs approximately 12 miles long and passes through some of the oldest and most interesting Southern California neighborhoods. The Arroyo Mocho is wheelchair accessible and in addition to biking, you will also find inline skating and walking. When cycling, riders have the option of hopping on the Isabel Avenue Trail for a longer ride. Located just north of Stanley Boulevard, the Isabel Avenue Trail offers scenery and outdoor activity that is similar to that on the Arroyo Mocho.
The Iron Horse Regional Trail
The Iron Horse Regional Trail is 15 miles away from Livermore. This rail-trail is approximately 27 miles long and is an important part the San Ramon Valley\’s agricultural and ranching past. It winds through several suburban areas and follows a wide creek that many wildlife animals call home. The northernmost part of the trail flows along a marshy area where you will find families of ducks and geese! Many picnic areas, fountains, and rest stops are available along this challenging trail.
