The Museum on Main Pleasanton – Rich in History
Created in 1963, our museum came to life by a group of local residents intent on preserving the unique history of the Livermore Valley. With the rapid economic growth, they became concerned that our roots would be forgotten in favor of spreading our wings. We are so grateful for them and the sacrifices they made to bring the Museum on Main Pleasanton into existence! Our museum is a place of cultural resource. They have a mission to bring the rich history of our valley to life!
There is Always Something New to Experience
The Museum on Main Pleasanton is a fantastic place to visit over and over again because they often change up the exhibitions. It\’s a great place to go often and you will always learn something new. The exhibits are enchanting and intriguing and they often host traveling exhibitions as well! The historical artifacts collection is now up to about ten thousand objects – including over 3,500 photographs and 2,500 other documents. There is so much to see and experience!

The Museum offers a 90-minute guided walking tour of our valley\’s spookiest sites! The Ghost Walk sells out quickly, so be sure to book your tickets early! If romance is more your style, there is a multi-course Wine and Valentine gourmet dinner every February that is just up your alley.
