Your Guide to Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area
Welcome to Shadow Cliffs!
There’s a lot to love about Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area! Because of its expansive and beautiful lake, the park is a popular place to cool off in the summertime. Shadow Cliffs is famous for its 80-acre lake, but you’ll also find several other small lakes and ponds at the park. While these areas are perfect for long, lazy, sun-soaked days on the beach, they are not suitable for swimming or boating.
For those who wish to swim, there is a dedicated swimming beach where you’ll also find a bathhouse and refreshment stand. These park amenities are open on the weekends during the spring and fall, and daily during the summer.
Although the park is most known for its summertime activities, the cooler months offer visitors the opportunity to discover Livermore from a quieter perspective. Pack a picnic basket and take in the peaceful views of the lake. This area is also a haven for birders and fishers throughout the year!
