3 Reasons to Love Cuda Ridge Winery
1. Distinctive Blends
Cuda Ridge Wines sources from eight vineyards across the Livermore Valley region. Each vineyard is subject to different elevation, climate, and soil to produce different types of wine grapes. This winery prides itself on its award-winning Bordeaux-style wines, which are produced in small lots.
Galles Vineyard is possibly the most valuable in producing these types of wine grapes. The distinctive flavor of Cuda Ridge’s Bordeaux-style wines comes from the high winds that the grapes receive, which cool them down. This process is vital to produce the perfect grapes for its award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Other Bordeaux-style blends include Sauvignon Blanc and Petit Verdot.
2. Family Owned & Operated
Cuda Ridge Wines is owned by husband/wife team Larry and Margie Dino. The couple has built the importance of family and friends into their business model, so it’s not uncommon for family members to help out around the winery and assist guests in the tasting room. The employees at the winery treat each guest like family, so you’re sure to leave the tasting with new friends and great memories! The winery’s tasting room is open Fridays through Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Be sure to stop by during your trip to Livermore Valley. It’s one of our favorite places to relax on the weekend.
